Airbags and pretensioners

Unfired airbags provide when disposing a legal and technical problem. Because of their small amounts of explosives they fall Unters Explosives Act and thus not be accepted by disposal facilities generally. In cooperation with AGR Herten, VVG operates a facility at the site of the hazardous waste interim storage that allows to ignite unfired in continuous operation airbags to it then supplied to the scrap cycle. This enables a safe and economical disposal of airbags and seat belt pretensioners.
