Mineral wastes

In addition to the classic foundry wastes, VVG also handles the disposal of several mineral-based wastes of a similar nature. These include:

• Hard coal filter dust and boiler ash
• Stack gas scrubbing products and ash from incineration plants for domestic waste, sewage sludge and biomass
• Demolition rubble, soil from polluted industrial sites
• Other mixes of mineral-based products
• Blast furnace slag and other kinds of slag
• Electroplating slurry and similar types of sludge

The disposal options range from the classic landfill with landfill revegetation to using the wastes as raw materials for the cement industry, for roadway construction, and in mining.
